Welcome to the New Daelpix Outdoors Website

Welcome to the brand new Daelpix Outdoors website — formerly Daelpix Photography.

After a lot of thought, I decided it was time for a complete refresh. The old website no longer felt like it represented what my content and interests have grown into over the few years of owning my website, so I wanted to create something that feels much more modern, personal, and connected to the outdoors.

One of the biggest changes is the homepage itself. I removed the old homepage completely and replaced it with something fresh that better reflects the atmosphere and direction of Daelpix Outdoors. I wanted visitors to immediately get a sense of adventure, nature, exploration, and the outdoors rather than feeling like they were simply visiting a photography portfolio.

I’ve also completely changed the font styles across the website to better match the overall feeling and personality of the brand. Alongside that, I updated the colours throughout the site to work with my brand new logo, helping everything feel more connected and consistent. The off-white for the background colour works better than bright white as it’s more easier on the eyes. The darker tones mixed with the warmer outdoor-inspired colours fit far better with the kind of content I create and the places I enjoy exploring.

Although photography is still a huge part of what I do, Daelpix Outdoors has become about far more than just photography alone. It’s about fly fishing, Yorkshire Rivers, Scottish lochs, wildlife, landscapes, exploration, filmmaking, and spending time outdoors. Photography simply helps me capture those moments and experiences along the way.

The new name also ties in perfectly with something I have planned for the future — something I’ve quietly been working towards for a long time now. It’s still a bit of a secret for the moment, but hopefully in around two years’ time, providing I can find the right job and make things work, it’ll all start coming together. Daelpix Outdoors feels like the right direction not just for where the channel and website are now, but for where I hope they’ll eventually go in the future as well.

Going forward, I’ll continue adding blogs, fishing content, outdoor adventures, photography work and videos, from my travels around Yorkshire and Scotland. Whether you’re here for fly fishing, landscapes, wildlife, historic places, or simply a love of the outdoors, I hope you enjoy following the journey.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the website and YouTube channel so far. I’m excited to keep building Daelpix Outdoors into something even bigger over the coming years.

So take a look around the new website, explore the latest content, and join me for future adventures.

— David
